Sri Karneshwar natrajar temple is located on the beach at pudukuppam,12 km north of Auroville.
Dr karan sing,chairman of the Auroville foundation,being a devotee of lord shiva already built in 2000 a smaller temple on the beach near Auroville.
The tsunami of 26 th December 2004 destroyed it and Dr karan sing on the beach asked them to rebuilt a new pyramid temple.
SRI KARNESHWAR NATRAJAR TEMPLE (PYRAMID)
 The temple mirrors the structure of The Great Pyramids of Egpypt,but also follows the traditional principles of Indian style of building temples.
The temple was designed and constructed by the legendary Dr.Karan sing,the last Maharaja of Kashmir.

 The temple has 7 steps and the idol inside is lord Natrajar.
Realization,creation and transformation based on tradition has decided the dimensions of the temple based on its importance to numbers.
The lord Natrajar is also known as lord Shiva.A spiritual vibe is felt inside the temple and peace feels like saturating the entire world
