PANCHAVATEE TEMPLE
Panchamukha Anjaneya Temple is in Panchavatee, a small village on the high way laeading to tindivanam.
Panchavatee is just 9 kms away from Pondicherry.
The 36 feet Gigantic Anjaneya is one of the tallest Hanuman images in India.

This vision pf Panchamuga Anjaneya with five faces-his own in the centre,surrounded by garuda,Hayagreeva,Narasimha and Varaha.
Hayagreeva is the horse form of lord vishnu
Narasimha the lion and Varaha the boar.
History
The temple is constructed on 12 acres of land and the area where the temple of sri Panchamukha anjaneyaswamy.
The panchamukha sri Anjaneyaswamy vigram was installed on 11th june 2003.
The significance of offering garland of ulundu vadais is that black gram has cooling properties.

The five faced panchamukha sri Anjaneya is a symbol of the synergy that exists between animal,human and the divine.
Only four faces of Anjaneya can be seen from the front view and another face have to be viewed from behind.
In front of temple there is a floating stone present in the water filled vessels which weighs about 14 kgs.
The rock was used by lord Ram's Vaaanar sena to build the bridge across lanka.
