1.MYSORE PALACE
Mysore palace is located at the heart of Mysore city and is the most popular tourist place in Mysore.
Palace was constructed  in the 14 th century and latter reconstructed several times.
Yaduaya wodeyar and Krishnaraja Wodeyar were built the palace.
Daily visiting hours between 10 AM TO 5.30 PM.
Entry charges for Indians 
Adults Rs.40 and Child Rs.20

Mysore Zoo was established in the year of 1892 by wadeyar.

Mysore zoo remains open for visitors from 8 pm to 5.30 pm

3.KARANJI LAKE



Initially ,this lake was buit as a percolation tank by the Mysore king,to serve as source of drinking water.

Karanji lake is situated in the foot of chamundi hills and was constructed by one of the kings of Mysore.
It is the largest lake in the state of Karnataka with the total area of 90 acres. 
It is the home for different birds that make your visit to this lake.

4.CHAMUNDI HILLS



Chamundi hills located at Mysore ,Karnataka state of India.

The hill is 3489 ft above the sea levels and is 12 km from Mysore city.
The energitic visitors are ready to climb the chamundi hills with barefoot to the top of the hills.
It is said that Raja Wodeyar intended to build a Gopura,and for that purpose erected four pillar post,which were removed when the present gopura was built by Krishnaraja Wodeyar .
Atop of the hill the famous Sri Chamundeshwari Temple.
Chamundi or Durga is the fierce form of shakti.
The God is believed to be an incarnation of Parvati,the consort of Lord shiva.

5.LALITHA MAHAL PALACE



Lalitha mahal palace is located just 4 km from Mysore bus station.

6.BRINDAVAN GARDEN



Brindavan garden is located at a distance of 19km from Mysore city.

The garden are built across river Cauvery and below Krishnaraja Sagar Dam and its a major tourist attraction of Mysore.
The Dam was built by Sir M.Vishweshwariah in 1924 whereas the Brindavan Gardens were built by Sir Mirza Ismail.

The garden has a botanical park as well as fountains.

Boating also is there  and is  the major tourist attractions.

7.ST PILOMINA CHURCH'S



St Philomena's church is one of the most popular tourist spot in Mysore with a history of over 200 years.

The church is situated at a distance of 2km from Mysore palace.
Initially built as a small church was then reconstructed by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar.
It is one of the largest Cathedrals in the whole south Asia.
Constructed in the Neo Gothic or the Victorian style,this church draws its inspiration from the cologne Cathedral of Germany.
It has twin spires which are ft tall and can be spotted from miles away.There is a cross present on each spire which is 12 ft in height.
The Hall of church boasts of a capacity to accommodate close to 800 people.
8.RANGANATHITTU BIRD SANCTUARY



Ranganathittu Bird Santuary is located at the a distance of 19 km from Mysore city and about 128 km away from Bangalore city.

It is at a distance of just 5km from the Srirangapatna.
The santuary is the home for some of the most exquisite birds.
Named after the Hindu God Sri Ranganatha swamy.
The bird Sanctuary is spread across an area of 40 acres.

9.SRIRANGAPATTINAM



Dedicated to Lord Vishnu,Ranganatha Swamy Temple stands beautifully in Srirangapatana near Mysore city.

Chamundi hills is about 13 km from Mysore,which is a prominent city in Karnataka state.
Idol of lord is in resting posture on abed of serpent Aadi sesha.
Aadi sesha is said to haveseven heds and often depicted with the Lord Vishnu.
Chamundieswari Temple is a Hindhu temple located on the top of Chamundi hills about 13km from Mysore city.
The Temple was buit in the 9 th centuary AD by Ganga cheitain Tirumalaraya.
The Temple tower was built in 849 AD.
The Temple received huge support from Hoysala and vijayanagara kings,mysore Wodeyars,Hyder Ali.

10.NANJANGUD TEMPLE



Nanjangud temple is located in Mysore district in the state of Karnataka.

The name Nanjangud is derived from the huge Nanjundeshwara or Shrikanteshwara temple dedicated to God Shiva.
The temple is 23 km from the Mysore city.
Well known for car festival held during March-April month.
Newly married couple offer many things during the festival to get blessings of Lord Shri kanteswara.
The main temple is believed to be constructed during Cholas and Gangas.
The main entrance gopuram was constructed during Krishnaraja wodeyar-3 period.The main temple length is 385 ft and width is 160ft.
The Temple has 3 main deities Lord Nanjundeshwara,Goddess Parvathi and Lord Vishnu with Sridevi and Bhudevi.
