The temple is situated 15 kms from Pondicherry. Sri Narashima is giving darshan with 16 hands in a gigantic posture. Nasasimhar is found in sitting posture as Ugra Narasimhar by killing the demon king Hiranyakashipu with his hands.

After visiting this temple we had visited Poovarsankuppam.
Next we went to Poovarsankuppam-Sri Amirthavalli Thayar Sametha Sri Lakshmi Narashima swamy temple.
It is on the way via villupuram-Panruti-Cuddalore road.The temple is 7 th centuary temple.We should reach the temple before 1.00 pm because the temple ill be closed by 1.30 pm and again will be opened after 4.00 pm only.
Parikkal
It is ancient temple located around 23 kms from villupuram.This place is situated betwen two rivers,then pannai and Garuda.It is built by vasantharaja who ruled virudachalam.
The special feature of the temple is having two anjaneya idol in the same shrine.
It is said that three Narashimha temples are located in geographically straight lines and are also at the same heights.
It is blessing to visit this three temples on Swathi Nakshatra.
