Sri Ranganathaswamy is quite biggest temple in India.

2.MEENAKSHI AMMAN TEMPLE (MADURAI)

Meenakshi temple is a historic hindhu temple located in the temple city of Madurai.
Temple is dedicated to Sundarewarar (Lord Shiva) and Meenakshi (Parvati).
Meenakshi amman  has been nominated for the new seven wonders of the world.
The Temple is present in an area of 45 acres.
The tallest tower rises to the extent of 170 feet.

3.MAHABALIPURAM TEMPLE


Mahabalipuram is situated just 60 km from chennai on the Bay of Bengal coast in the south Indian state of Tamilnadu.
Mahabalipuram is one of the oldest cities in India and is known for its various stone carved monuments and ancient temples.
Mahabalipuram was a port town  during the 1 st century to 140 AD and was ruled by Pallava kings.

7.RAMANATAH NATHASWAMY TEMPLE  (RAMESHWARAM)


Rameswaram is situated on the pamban Island,Rameswaram in Tamilnadu is a major pilgrimage famous for its history and temples.

8.THIRVAKKARAI

Thiruvakkarai vakra Kaliamman devi Temple is one of the greatest Temple of Maa kaali and is situated in Villupuram district of Tamilnadu.The temple is not only famous for kaali temple but there are many other temples of various deities.

HISTORY

The Temple is a twelth centuary temple and main attraction of the temple is Maa kaali.
The idol of the temple is slightly bent to a one side with eight hands.This is very rare idol of Maa kaali and has a famous small baby as an ornament to her ear and a skull of dead person as her crown
The kaali maatha  defeated demon Vakkrasura and thats why called as Vakkrakaali.
Lord shiva is having three faces.There is abig Linga which is having 1008 lingas in it.The linga is called as Sakasra Lingam
There are three deities of this temple like Lord Shiva,Vadivaambigai, lord chandrashekar and lord vishnu.
The Chandramouleeswarar of this temple is having three faces which is not seen in anywhere in India.
Pancha kannika dhosha is aspecial ritual or pooja performed in the temple .
